Over the past week officers have made multiple arrests on Kilburn High Road. In the past two days two arrests have been made for individuals failing to attend court, this includes one male failing to appear for burglary offences. A vehicle, related to one of the arrests was also found to be on cloned plates. The vehicle has been seized. Furthermore, Officers have assisted the Brent mental health teams on multiple mental health warrants, ensuring vulnerable individuals receive the appropriate care to help them on their road to recovery
Officers have liaised with Brent Council regarding the site previously occupied by the Job Centre, on Cambridge Ave, which has currently been left in a state of disrepair, and is in urgent need of boarding up to prevent trespassers. Brent Council are making contact with the owners and requesting the site is made secure as soon as possible
Kilburn Officers assisted their colleagues in Queens Park in enforcing a closure order on Harrow Road. Multiple arrests were made for breaches of the closure order, as well as drugs offences.
Brent Officers have been working closely with our Camden colleagues in identifying drug activity along Kilburn High Road. Through shared intel our Camden colleagues made a successful stop on a male believed to be involved in drug supply. The male was found in possession of a large quantity of drugs. The male was arrested for possession with intent to supply.
Lastly, Joseph Reaidi, from the Brent and Kilburn Times, posted an article regarding the hard work, and success, Op Terminos has been over the past year. Mr Reaidi joined officers during a Op Terminos day of action several weeks ago. Mr Reaidi witnessed first hand what an officer day to day work life entailed. Insp Yu Zhang was present during the day of action. Insp Yu Zhang shared the impressive reduction in crime stats Op Terminos had yielded in burglary and violent crime offences. Insp Yu Zhang was quoted as saying “It was clear the hard work from his team was reducing crime”
